Riley Brennan, M.A.

Development and Operations Associate

Riley Brennan (she/they) was raised in a family of lawyers, so she has been taught the importance of legal education from a young age. Knowing her mother and other relatives worked hard to represent all people fairly and to the best of their ability inspired her to always do her best work and pursue justice everywhere. Riley has been working with nonprofits in various roles since high school, always passionate about making education, healthcare and the arts accessible to those in underserved communities.

Riley graduated from Simpson College with a degree in Sociology in 2018 before completing their Master’s in Media and Public Communication from the University of Denver in 2020. Their academic pursuits were coupled with internships, contract work and assistantships with organizations such as the Jewish Federation of Greater Kansas City, ChildServe, Opera Theatre of Saint Louis and Rose Community Foundation. Riley has become a seasoned nonprofit fundraiser with experience in database management, donor prospecting, event planning, grant writing, group facilitation and more. They are excited to use their skills to support diversity in the legal profession so that all students can reach their goals and so the legal field may reflect the demographics of the people it serves.

In her spare time, Riley enjoys baking, being in sunshine and exploring her new city of Chicago!
